Monday Mindfulness: Who Would you Be Without Your Story?Join me from 24th April at Flow Tunbridge Wells for Monday Mindfulness!We’ll be using The Work by Byron Katie to guide our mindful inquiry and meditations. The Work is based on her global best seller “Loving What Is”.Byron Katie spent many years suffering from depression until one day a sudden insight caused her to question everything she thought was true. The result was her process of inquiry called The Work. She has gone on to write several books, deliver courses and talks, and host retreats. The Work is known world wide as a highly effective way of inquiring into what we believe to be true about our experiences, and how these thoughts shape our responses. In The Work, we identify and question the thoughts that cause suffering and to find peace with ourselves, others and with the world.To read more about The Work, Byron Katie and Mindfulness, check out the full blog article hereEach 90 minute session will be structured as follows:
  • Initial ‘arrival’ meditation
  • group check in
  • 20-30 minute guided meditation
  • The Work – reviewing concepts from the book, applying them to ourselves, reviewing the worksheets

No prior meditation or mindfulness experience is necessary and all are welcome.ALL sessions must be booked here: those planning to attend regularly, it is recommended to buy “Loving What Is” by Byron Katie occasional drop ins, you can download an introduction to The Work and all the worksheets here: note: If you are currently suffering from severe depression, anxiety, trauma, please speak to your GP or contact one of us before signing up as meditation can sometimes not be suitable for these conditions.

NO MOBILE PHONE POLICYI'm implementing a 'no mobile' policy in all my classes from April. In some locations, you are able to take your bag into the studio, which increases the temptation to sit on your mat and use your phone. Please avoid doing this. If you must use your phone, please do so outside the studio. Using your phone just prior to your class doesn't put you in the best mindset for your practice.PURE GYM TUESDAY 8PM CLASSPlease note that this class is no longer suitable for complete beginners: some prior yoga experience is required to get the most out of this class. Due to the majority of other students having developed in their practice, both with me and elsewhere, this class is now targeted at those wishing to deepen their practice. It is more dynamic with some stronger poses. If you are unsure about the suitability of the class for you, please come and speak to me or get in touch
