Hi there and welcome to my March Newsletter!Spring has finally arrived! The sun is out and the birds are singing - and slowly we're starting to wake up from our winter hibernation. Spring into Spring!An Inversion Workshop for BeginnersIn this workshop we will prepare for and explore several inversion poses - and go upside down!The session will include a sequence to warm up and strengthen the body, and also to see which level you're working at. We'll also look at some pranayama techniques for helping with inversions. The poses we'll explore include headstand, wheel and shoulder stand.Some prior yoga experience is advised. I'll be hosting an Energise and Flow workshop on Sunday May 23rd with Grace Spencer.This will include a workout led by Grace, a nutrition talk and then a relaxing, wind down yoga and meditation session led by me. Would you be interested in offering your staff yoga in their place of work?As an ex management consultant and project manager in banking, I know all about having a full-on, busy, working life.But according to the Health and Safety Executive, organisations lost on average 9.9 million work days to stress, anxiety and depression in 2014. Stress itself accounts for 43% of all lost working days.I know how much benefit I got from taking just an hour out to re-centre and re-energise through yoga. I teach a gentle, slow flowing style, which is suitable for all, and my focus is on bringing mindfulness to life through the class. Classes can include some breathing practices and meditation as well.How does it work?I’ll bring the mats, you provide the space! I will come to your office to teach. I need a space, such as meeting room or breakout area that can fit the number of people who want to attend. I have all the necessary equipment including mats, blocks and straps. Cost £60 per hour. Numbers limited to the size of the spaceAbout me I used to work in the City for 14 years for companies such as AXA, Deloitte, RBS and HSBC. I left in early 2015 to start my yoga business, spending last year in Ibiza teaching.
