Hi everyone

Autumn is starting to arrive with colder temperatures - although we have had some sunny skies to enjoy. Often when the seasons change, especially as it gets colder, we can feel a lingering sense of melancholy, or starting to feel tired and a bit down. This is the season for really nurturing ourselves and practising kindness towards ourselves. Perhaps with warming foods like soups or stews cooked at home, or some fluffy socks, spending time with family and friends, or enjoying long bubble baths.Yoga and mindfulness are great ways to bring some calm and stillness into your life, and also to practice this kindness towards yourself. The question we often ask in mindfulness is "How can I best take care of myself right now?". Maybe some time on the mat or just sitting quietly focusing on the breath is all that is needed to centre and re-energise.Classes in Pembury are in a warm, cosy clubhouse, focusing on warming up the body, building strength and stability, as well as practising softening into what we find. 8 Week Mindfulness Course - OctoberThere are a few spaces left on this 8 week course, starting 10 October. Held every Monday lunchtime 1230 - 1400 at the lovely studio at Flow Tunbridge Wells on Woodbury Park Road.We will learn the core mindfulness meditation practices, as well as practice inquiry into our experiences. There will also be some teaching around the theory and neuroscience behind how mindfulness is believed to work. Each session will comprise two meditation practices, inquiry and discussion.Home practice is a key component of mindfulness, and students will be provided with guided meditations to use at home. NEW: EVENING Mindfulness Course starting Mid January 2017Due to students' requests, I will be running an 8 week Mindfulness course starting Mid January on Wednesday evenings, from 7pm - 8.15pm. The location will be The House, on Monson Terrace, a brand new co working space. Course content will include the core mindfulness practices, and there will be a specific focus on mindfulness at work, covering topics such as focus and attention, multi tasking (pro tip - it doesn't exist! Come and find out why!), engagement and happiness.Please contact me to register your interest.
